MINKH is a Sacramento-based platform that empowers music creators — from students to professionals — to succeed in a rapidly evolving music industry shaped by artificial intelligence.
Founded in 2006 by renowned percussionist Flip Kirby (Bobby Brown, Stephanie Mills, After 7) and Dr. Jasmien Kirby, a nationally recognized Music AI Coach and Workforce Advocate, MINKH combines deep music knowledge with future-forward technology training.
We’re here to help artists write, produce, remix, and monetize music using tools like Suno and other cutting-edge AI platforms.

We exist to ensure that underserved and independent music creators aren’t left behind as AI transforms how music is made, shared, and sold.
At MINKH, we:

Dr. Jasmien Kirby is Sacramento’s first and only Music AI Coach and Workforce Advocate. With a doctorate in Work & Organizational Psychology and a career in artist development, she’s helped shape the sound of talents like Yelly and Elle Nikole.
Today, she guides artists, educators, and organizations in understanding how to leverage AI tools like Suno to create, monetize, and distribute music — ethically and effectively.
Her motto?
“AI isn’t replacing musicians — it’s rebuilding the music game. Let’s make sure you’re in the room.”

Flip Kirby is a veteran percussionist and producer whose rhythms have supported icons like Bobby Brown, Stephanie Mills, and After 7. As co-founder of MINKH, he helps lead music education and career development for emerging artists of all ages.
Flip is also a partner with the other organizations where he focuses on expanding STEAM access for communities least likely to receive it — blending culture, creativity, and technology to open doors for the next generation.
